YVETTE WEIJERGANG
Bio
Originally from the Netherlands, Yvette Weijergang moved to the United States in 1996 after completing a rigorous five-year Art Masters Program. Her early career included teaching art to teenagers and children, using creative expression as a transformative tool for personal growth among at-risk youth. Throughout this period, Yvette maintained a thriving studio practice, producing her own artwork and developing her unique artistic voice.

Since relocating to the U.S., Yvette has worked as an art teacher at various Art Centers and mentored emerging artists, contributing to the creative communities in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Denver. Her career is distinguished by over a decade of work with an organization for adults with physical and mental challenges in Minneapolis, where she witnessed firsthand the profound impact of visual and performing arts on individuals’ lives.

Yvette’s work has been featured in respected galleries and venues, including Gallery 1871, Connect Gallery, and a solo exhibition at the Union League Club of Chicago. Her art has been leased for several years in the Prudential Building downtown Chicago, and she has completed a commissioned project for Swissotel in Chicago. Currently based in Denver, Yvette collaborates with Space Gallery on Santa Fe Drive and maintains studios both at home and within the “Artists for Santa Fe” building. She is also honored to have recently joined the artist roster at “Pedestal,” a prominent Denver arts organization.
